1. Fake Reality
People are selectively posting what they want others to see, which mean they will only posting good sides while hiding their bad sides. Their profile, or even yours, does not truly reflect who you truly are as a person. Some might feel depressed when they can’t have certain followers and likes.
2. Encourages narcissism
In order to more likes and followers, many people posting faces and bodies in their account. It’s all about own satisfaction, which is not healthy when you showing off your wealth, your body and faces just for likes.
3. Compare yourself to others
Have you ever compared yourself with your friends and celebrities when you randomly see their account? Many people admitted that social media makes them jealous, depressed and addicted. Because many tend to forget that people are only posting good sides, and they compared other’s good time with their life.
4. Wasting your time
Needless to say, social media is addictive, when you check your Instagram first thing first when you woke up, ‘’your shit is broken. – Gary Vee’’. Its real, social media is designed to be addictive, many people spend more time on social media than they think. Let me give you an example, you check your Instagram 12 minutes per hour, while 12 minutes doesn’t seem like a lot of time, but it adds up. If you sleep for 8 hours, so the result would be 12 minutes X 16 = 192 minutes, which mean 3 hours and 10 minutes. You can do a lot more with that 3 hours!
